The sound we look for
Electronic music with strong identity, clean production and a clear emotional lane. If your track feels cinematic, synth-driven, electropop, darkwave, darksynth, chillwave, dreamy, nocturnal, energetic, retro-future or built for motion — it might fit.

What kind of music fits Synth City Radio?
We are mainly looking for synth-driven and cinematic electronic music: synthwave, synthpop, electropop, retrowave, chillwave, darkwave, darksynth, cyberpunk-leaning tracks, dreamy nocturnal cuts and polished retro-future sounds. The track can be energetic or atmospheric, but it should have a clear identity, good production and a mood that belongs in the SCR world.
What else can fit the SCR sound?
Tracks with strong melodic hooks, pulsing synth bass, clean electronic drums, cinematic atmosphere, nostalgic colour, nocturnal emotion or modern digital punch can fit well. We also consider music for coding, focus, night drives, running, gym sessions and late-night discovery when the production feels polished and intentional.
Can I submit darker or more energetic tracks?
Yes. Darkwave, darksynth, dark electronic, cyberpunk moods and more driving tracks can fit when they still feel musical, curated and emotionally clear. SCR is not only soft background music — it also covers night-drive energy, focus, movement, running and gym-session contexts.
Do you listen personally?
Yes. Synth City Radio is built around human selection, not algorithmic intake. Submissions are reviewed for fit, sound, pacing, production quality and long-term curation value.
What can my track be considered for?
A strong fit can be considered for curated playlists, radio rotation, New Drops Friday, Track of the Week, Artist Spotlight and future artist-focused formats. Placement is never guaranteed — the decision is always editorial.
Can I buy playlist or radio placement directly?
No. Synth City Radio does not sell guaranteed playlist placement, radio rotation or editorial coverage. Paid external submission platforms may offer a route to pitch or receive feedback, but they do not buy placement. SCR decisions remain editorial, anti-payola and based on fit.
Does submission guarantee placement?
No. Submission never guarantees playlist placement, radio rotation, a review, publication or promotion. Every decision is editorial and based on fit.
What matters most?
Fit, production quality, emotional clarity, momentum and whether the track belongs in the Synth City universe. A focused, distinctive track with a real mood is stronger than a generic pitch.
Is YouTube Live a separate station?
No. YouTube Live is planned as an alternate access point for the same on-site radio signal, not a separate programme.
Know the sound before you submit.
Explore the listening hub or open the radio to understand the curation before pitching. Fit matters more than the quantity of submissions.
